Convert Your Analog Wireless Transmitter to Digital
As of February 18, 2008, the FCC no longer supports transmissions on analog cellular technology. This applies to analog cellular transmitters included in equipment used in early SecureCell® and PrimeCell™ systems. (Current SecureCell and PrimeCell system equipment uses the updated digital transmitters.)
If you subscribe to one of our analog wireless alarm signaling services (SecureCell or PrimeCell) and did not upgrade to digital by February 18, 2008, the following has occurred:
- SecureCell subscribers have lost redundant (backup) signaling capability they enjoyed with their security service monitoring, and their billing has been adjusted accordingly.
- PrimeCell subscribers have lost their ability to receive monitoring; Protection One security service is no longer available through this technology.
